How to Subscribe to the DBML3

Because of the number of people who want to subscribe to the mailing list, I have been forced to make changes that will limit the number of people who can join the mailing list and keep people who don't understand basic e-mail and netiquette off.

*NEW!

The mailing list has now moved to Yahoogroups. Previously, the mailing list was hosted by a private server. However, I am going to Japan, and am unable to pay for the mailing list for the time when I will be gone. In addition, there are new mailing list moderators who will help monitor the list and take care of subscription approval. They may or may not choose to use the approval methods that I have been using in the past. However, here is the information regarding my current form of applicant approval.
  1. Send a message to dbml3-subscribe@egroups.com
  2. You will receive a letter from me with instructions that you must follow correctly. If you follow these instructions correctly, you will then be subscribed to the DBML3. If you do not follow these instructions correctly, I will ignore your request to subscribe to the mailing list. These instructions are simple. For more detailed information, please read this page.
  3. Wait for approval

It's still not very difficult. I'm sorry about any delays in approving new members. Thanks!

How to Unsubscribe from the DBML3

  1. Send a message to dbml3-unsubscribe@egroups.com
  2. That's it. You can also subscribe, unsubscribe, and modify your subscription from the http://www.egroups.com/groups/dbml3 Egroups homepage.

How to Subscribe to the DBML3 Digest

  1. Send a message to dbml3-subscribe@egroups.com.
  2. Wait for approval.
  3. Then go to dbml3 page at Egroups, http://www.egroups.com/group/dbml3, where you can change your subscription to receive a daily digest or even to just read messages from your web browser.

Yup, just as easy, and instead of a bunch of email messages, you'll get approximately one a day.

How to Unsubscribe from the DBML3 Digest

  1. Send a message to dbml3-unsubscribe@egroups.com. Thats right! It's exactly the same as unsubscribing from the regular mailing list. Or you can always go to the Egroups homepage http://www.egroups.com/group/dbml3 and unsubscribe from there.
  2. That's it.

How to Post to the DBML3

  1. Send your message to dbml3@egroups.com with whatever subject you wish to use -- be creative if you want people to notice!
  2. Wait for it to show up. Don't repost immediately if your message doesn't show up immediately. Don't freak if it takes a little while - it'll get there eventually.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to the Mailing List owner, or any of the Moderators at the dbml3 page at Yahoogroups.
